This was my first training grounds winning entry. The original pic was a few soldiers on an obstacle course on a summer day. I spent a few hours freezing my toes wandering around in the woods with my camera to get shots of a path in the snow. I composited several different pics that I had taken to get the look that the only thing that had changed was the season. Falling and accumulating snow and some motion blur in selected areas was added to sell the effect.
