Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > In this scene I mated Elvis with Babyface, the mutant toy from Toy Story. I think I pulled off the plastic feel of the Elvis face reasonably well, but I don't like the cg stuff on the lower part. Perhaps someday I will go back and finish this the way it was meant to be. Getting rid of the lousy jpeg artifacts would be a good start.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > This was my first training grounds winning entry. The original pic was a few soldiers on an obstacle course on a summer day. I spent a few hours freezing my toes wandering around in the woods with my camera to get shots of a path in the snow. I composited several different pics that I had taken to get the look that the only thing that had changed was the season. Falling and accumulating snow and some motion blur in selected areas was added to sell the effect.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > My second win in the training grounds. This was also my first attempt at doing an invisible. I started with an old pic of me on a horse as a kid. Unfortunately the original pic was quite deteriorated, so I had to spend a lot of work just restoring it before I could even get to the invisible edits.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > My third and final win in the training grounds before getting booted out of there. This started out as a pic of a summer camp cabin in the daytime without the water, boat, and old man. I learned a lot making this, and due to a few requests I wrote a tutorial.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > This image was never submitted to a contest. I just made it after looking at a contest of a guy leaning against a wall, and thought it would be fun to try doing an underwater conversion.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > This is just me, not an edit or contest entry. I just took out my tongue stud and replaced it with a nail for a fun photo op.

Jonathan Manning (DakotaBoy88) > This is a mugshot of me I made on a cool flash site that I lost the link to. It made me look like I'm 12, but it was still fun anyway.
